I received a Bachelor's degree in 1998 in English and Education from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. I went on to live cross-culturally in Mexico for 3 years, and worked with children, young adults, and families. During this time, I helped to start a shelter/home for trafficked girls, and worked in conjunction with the Mexican Department of Social Services to provide girls and their families alternatives to prostitution and life on the streets. In 2005 I graduated from the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology with a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I have been counseling in a clinical setting since 2004, and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in both Washington state and Florida (WA: #LH60017464, FL: #MH18968). I have worked with adolescents and adults in a variety of clinical settings, including Compass Health's Multicultural Counseling Center in Everett, WA, and Palouse River Counseling in Pullman, WA, and in a training capacity as a practicum facilitator at The Seattle School. I have been in private practice since 2008. I currently live in Florida and have an office in Palm Harbor, and continue to see WA clients virtually.
My approach to therapy is based on a relational and developmental model, and I use several types of trauma processing therapies. My practice is limited to adults.
